Willowbrook School is an exciting and vibrant place of learning on the edge of the city of Exeter and we are looking for someone special to join our team.

At Willowbrook, we have set up a Communication and Interaction Pod to support children who are struggling to access learning in a large busy classroom. The Pod offers a small, flexible provision to support children in groups, in class and through individual, personalised learning plans. There will be the opportunity to build strong relationships with children and staff and deliver a range of interventions.

We are looking for a teaching assistant who will work with the teacher and the other Pod teaching assistant to develop fantastic provision for these children. You will need to have good organisational skills, an empathetic approach and be able to reflect on your practice. You will need a good level of English and maths and an ability to be flexible to meet the changing needs of the children.

This would be an amazing opportunity for someone considering a career in teaching or educational psychology, to develop their understanding in a practical way. We offer a comprehensive programme of professional development so that you feel fully supported in the work that you do. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible and will interview candidates before the closing date if suitable candidates apply.
